So i absolutely know what im talking about. I played more mage than you'd imagine, literally shit ton, and mostly for farming, i always had mage for farming on all my characters. So you are saying it changes nothing and not a big deal, and then you say how frustrating it not being autoloot as a mage. as it'd damage how the game was, vanilla authencity feeling, nostaliga and what not. its absolutely not worth changing the game for soemthing that trivial. first there are addons for that i think, second you just get used to pressing shift+click and after a while just do it automatically without some addition effort or thought. If you mean just looting single mob with shift+clicking. whole game dynamic is different, loot disperancy and so on. for instance, bags got way lesser space, and you need to carry quite some things in it all the time. stop thinking that its just like modern wow, but older.
Ppl just look at vanilla through modern wow glasses, its the other kind of game with a different conditions. honestly its not an issue at all in vanilla by how the game built.
